Motor Trader hosts profit seminar on International Business Day
Monday, 29 May 2006
DEALERS AND other motor trade professionals visiting this summer's British International Motor Show trade day will be able to attend a special Motor Trader seminar session on raising dealer profitability.

As the automotive retailing sponsor of International Business Day on 19 July, Motor Trader has joined forces with Trevor Jones Chartered Accountants to present a special session on dealer profitability which will be particularly relevant to businesses in the hard hit south east. The show's trade day has a greater focus on dealers than before with manufacturers expected to have their franchising managers on hand to talk about open point opportunities with retailers looking to take on new brands. The 10 Steps to Dealer Profitability session takes place on the morning of 19 July when the show, at the Excel centre in London's Docklands, is open exclusively to automotive business professionals. The event follows the previous evening's Motor Trader Awards, at London's Grosvenor House which is the biggest gathering of the automotive retailing sector. Michael Jones, a partner with Trevor Jones Chartered Accountants, the widely respected specialist motor trade accountancy firm, will present the 45 minute session based on the firm's analysis of its national profitability data for 2006. The session will identify the areas where the top 10 per cent of dealers are currently achieving high levels of profitability and suggest how other dealers can improve their profit potential. The workshop will provide 10 practical steps which, if successfully implemented, could improve dealership profitability.
