VOLKSWAGEN has expanded its consumer financial services offerings with a new facility on its website that allows customers to gain details of the various finance offers available to them.
Prospective customers can select from a list of models and then choose a deposit amount as well as mileage and contract duration.
Volkswagen's example generator then produces a detailed
quotation for the customer. At the same time, financial examples will appear in Volkswagen price lists, enabling customers to examine all the options available when purchasing a new car.
Volkswagen Finance's marketing manager, Phil Grisewood, said the latest initiative was aimed at boosting the brand's service offering.
He said: “Around 80 per cent of new cars are now purchased with some form of finance or borrowing.
“Our retailers can provide a service to customers who are interested in purchasing with finance through Volkswagen Finance.”
Separate sections are available for private motorists and company car drivers.
The packages include hire purchase, contract hire, finance lease and lease purchase arrangements.
