On the Move

- TRW Automotive Aftermarket has announced the expansion of its UK marketing team with the appointment of Olivia Savage as marketing specialist.

Savage's main responsibility will be to build upon the early successes of TRW's new garage concept Auto Service, supporting existing members and assisting garages that are new to the scheme. Andy Long, sales and marketing manager for TRW, said “Olivia has excellent experience of the whole marketing mix and I'm sure she will be a fantastic addition to the company, and more specifically to our team in helping to market the company and products to our loyal customers in the UK.”

- From the beginning of September, Brendan Devine will be the new managing director of car finance provider GE Capital Woodchester. Devine joined the Woodchester sales team in 1989 and graduated through the ranks to hold business centre management positions for Woodchester, and subsequently for GE Capital Woodchester in Scotland. His most recent role was managing director of GE Commercial Finance, Ireland. Commenting on his appointment, Devine said, “I am really looking forward to joining the UK Auto business. There are many opportunities and challenges ahead and I will be focusing on working more closely with our dealer partners to maximise and grow the business.”

- There's a new man at the helm of the Richard Cort group's Chrysler and Jeep dealership in Rossendale. Kevin Baker is the new dealer principal at the site, having joined the company in December last year. Baker started as dealer principal at the Bacup Orad showroom in July and brings with him over 30 years' experience to the role, having previously worked at other dealerships and car supermarkets in the Manchester area. He said: “With a strong and competitive product line-up and more great models on the horizon, these are exciting times for the Chrysler and Jeep brands.”
