27 June 2005
Refinish specialist Brown Brothers, which is part of the crash repair division of Unipart Automotive, has teamed up with smart repair systems provider Bradleys to create a nationwide network of repair centres.
The Smart Repair Centres of Excellence, 11 of which are already operating, provide access to Bradley's training programme which has been approved by the Institute of the Motor Industry. According to Brown Brothers, Bradley's IMI Quality Assessment Award training scheme provides technicians with a qualification similar to NVQ level and covers all disciplines of smart repair over a period of 12 to 18 months. Jim Forde, marketing director of Brown Brothers said: The drive among bodyshops to improve efficiency levels and reduce the cost of repair has led to this joint initiative. Our relationship will provide customers with access to an exceptional range of manufacturer and insurance approved smart repair systems, products and training at a local level. Brown Brothers has a 65-strong network in the UK.
