GM DAEWOO DEALERSHIPS are re-branding to Chevrolet in preparation for next week's nationwide rollout of the new corporate identity.
The brand has confirmed that two new models – the Lacetti Sport and Lacetti Station Wagon – will spearhead the launch of the name in the UK.
This week retailers will hold launch parties to mark the occasion.
Some 85 dealers across the country will be taking on the full range of vehicles, which include the Kalos five-door family hatchback plus two saloon variants of the Lacetti.
l General Motors has moved to centralise its Chevrolet, Saab and Opel operations in the UK and Ireland. Dave Sheeran, managing director of Opel Ireland and Andy Carroll, managing director for Chevrolet UK, will report directly to Bill Parfitt, Vauxhall's director of sales, marketing and aftersales for UK and Ireland.
