AFTERMARKET SHOW visitors were shown some of the latest tyre-fitting equipment in action with a series of live demonstrations in a mock-up workshop.
The Model Tyre Retailer stand brought together a showcase of the latest equipment in a display co-ordinated by four-wheel alignment specialist Pro-Align.
Sponsors included tyre brand Yokohama, alignment kit supplier Hunter Engineering, the wheel care division of Rema Tip Top and Gemco, the workshop equipment company.
Technicians carried out live equipment demonstrations at the stand every 30 minutes.
Pro-Align managing director Paul Beaurain believed that tyre-fitting companies needed to invest in the latest equipment to improve business efficiency.
He reckoned the level of sophistication of equipment in some companies was “not as good as it could be”. Beaurain said: “On this stand we have co-ordinated a number of different companies that supply high-level equipment to the tyre market.
“This is an opportunity to show customers what they should be expecting,” he added.
