RMI warns over MoT testing
Thursday, 25 March 2004
The RMI has warned that the MoT test system could become severely overstretched if testers do not receive more frequent training in the future.

The federation said cars were becoming more technically complex all the time but the pace of change was not reflected in the frequency of MoT tester re-training. Training currently takes place once every five years but the RMI warned that if that was to continue, testers could be left without the necessary knowledge to accurately perform the MoT.
